ABOUT

I started playing guitar on a cheap out of tune Spanish guitar at age 11 and continued throughout my teens. I taught myself and learnt my favourite songs by ear until I later moved to Leeds to study music.

I graduated in 2003 with a bachelors degree in Jazz from Leeds College of Music and then went on to attempt living the dream life of rehearsing and playing in bands every night of the week.

With my main band, Blacklisters, I toured Europe several times, as well as play Reading and Leeds Festival twice. We were also fortunate enough to record a live radio session for BBC Radio One at Maida Vale Studios!

I have also recently performed live for six months with local legends Pulled Apart By Horses.

In 2019 I co-founded the Leeds Music Teachers' Collective. We offer students the ideal place to have private tuition, rehearsal space and access to a network of other students who are looking to play together. Each of our rooms is full equipped for guitar, bass, piano and drum lessons, plus the studio has a large live room complete with a stage, amplifiers, drum kits and a vocal PA.
